A Mixed Bag
The food and the service at the restaurant were exceptional. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing. The breakfast was good. Architecturally beautiful with a very central location for touring the countryside. The service was very friendly and accommodating.
The room was small and very basic, not what you'd expect for the money. Very Motel 6. The outdoor patio/dining area is right downwind from a septic system and large sections of the property smell like poop. The hot tub has been broken for years and they haven't updated the description online.

Very nice stay. Variety of menu selections for dinner (and wait staff) wouldn't be a bad idea.

Lovely place with amazing views! Food was good,people nice and very accomadating,not too far for day trips in the area. Would go back again

Wow! What can I say. I've never stayed in a castle before and certainly not a four star castle. It was everything we dreamed it would be, and more. The castle was impecably refurbished, the grounds were spotless, the views were tremendousm, the restaurant was great and the staff was delightful. I dream of the day I can return and do it again.
Enjoy the energy and vitality of Siena and the peacefulness of the countryside.
Really the only negative is we had to leave and go home. Since the castle is outside of town, it would be very difficult to stay here if you did not have your own transportation. That also means it is a 10 minute drive to the nearest market in case you need water, or other supplies. The pool is a ten minute walk up the road, but worth it once you get there.
